Types of Manuscripts

Al-Madaris accepts the following types of manuscripts in Islamic education and Islamic studies:

  • Original research articles: empirical, field, or textual studies that state the aim, method, results, discussion, and conclusion. Original research articles make up at least 60% of each issue.
  • Review articles: comprehensive reviews that cover the focus of the study with adequate and recent literature and include the authors' own analysis and original contribution.
  • Short communications and case studies: concise reports that state the aim, method, results and analysis, and conclusion.

Book reviews, editorials, obituaries, and news of scholarly activities are not counted as scientific articles. The journal does not publish manuscripts that have been published or are under review elsewhere. See the Author Guidelines for format and length.
